Celebrating Character

Character week has returned to Columbia!

Throughout the week, staff and students at Columbia will be celebrating, and encouraging, good character among the student body. Each day, students will have the opportunity to participate in a fun activity that highlights various character keys .

Activities will be held in the Maple building from 11:50 – 1:10 p.m. and place between 12:30 – 1:50 p.m. at the Living Wall Lounge in Ainsliewood. All students are encouraged to participate.

Monday, October 21: Introduction Day, Spinning Wheel, Lucky Draw
Tuesday, October 22: Spoken Word Performance Day
Wednesday, October 23: Craft Day (Character Keychains, Bracelets, Buttons)
Thursday, October 24: Mix-It-Up Lunch
Friday, October 25: Random Acts of Kindness Day

Character at Columbia
Columbia is devoted to building character in its students who pledge to practice 10 important character traits. Each month, a different character trait is taught and incorporated across the academic and extracurricular curriculum. Character education plays a large role in student life and aims to create responsible global citizens.
