For many, graduation day holds a special place in their heart. The same is true of Columbia’s Junior High School students, who on June 22 marked the closing of a chapter in their academic lives. The Student Café played host to parents, staff and the Graduating Class of 2010, who were beaming with pride throughout the Graduation Ceremony.
A Colourful Celebration
The Café’s vibrant décor set the scene for an auspicious celebration of student success. Lining the walls were colourful displays of student work for subjects ranging from Science to English. Taglines that read Say No to Alcohol, Traditional Pizza and Walk for Water were just some of the dozens splashed across students’ creations.
The Graduation Ceremony kicked off with a harmonic rendition of O Canada performed by Mr. Lawlis’ vocal class. This was followed by moving remarks from the podium
