Guaranteed Admission with Priority for Columbia’s Graduates

McMaster University is reputed to offer excellent education. This has made it one of the most sought after
universities by high school graduates. As a result, more students apply to McMaster than they are able to
accept. Our exclusive new partnership will guarantee Columbia graduates who have met the minimum requirements priority admission into any McMaster faculty.

Benefits of McMaster's "Guaranteed Admissions"

  • No program over-subscribed for qualified Columbia graduates who apply to McMaster through the Ontario Universities Application Centre (OUAC) prior to the January deadline for September admissions
  • Columbia graduates will not be held to a higher standard Once they meet the same minimum admission requirements set
for all Ontario high schools, they will be admitted
  • No regional quota based on country of origin. McMaster will not reject a graduate from Columbia because
McMaster has too many applicants from that particular country already
  • Students deficient in the iBT-based TOEFL score needed for admission (86 with a minimum of 20 in each of the four component parts – reading, listening, speaking and writing) may be granted an interview for TOEFL exemption with the Associate Dean of the corresponding Faculty if applicant's Pre-University averages are satisfactory

All graduates of Columbia International College Pre-University program will be admitted to McMaster University once they have met the minimum admissions requirement. Normal TOEFL requirement still applies to international students.
