In Canada we embrace the cold weather and in the winter many of our national pastimes take place outside. This month we are encouraging Columbia students to brave the weather and try some classic Canadian pastimes. So, Student Development has organized a skating trip as well as a skiing trip.
Saturday January 21st – Skating at the Toronto Harbour Front
Students should not miss out on the chance to skate on a crisp winter day with a fantastic view Lake Ontario and the Toronto skyline.
For the small fee of $22.00 students will travel to Toronto, rent skates and helmets and receive the memory of a lifetime
Saturday afternoon buses will leave residence at 12:30pm and students will leave the Harbour Front at 4:30pm.
Space is limited, so adventurous students interested in attending this trip must sign up before 2:00pm on Friday January 20th.
Monday January 23rd – Skiing at Chicopee Park in Kitchener, ONT
Monday January 23rd is a school wide P.A. Day, meaning there will be no classes. This gives students an excellent opportunity to ski at one of Ontario’s most popular ski resorts, Chicopee Park in Kitchener Ontario for the whole day!
Buses will leave residence at 8:30am and will return to the residence before dinner.
The trip will cost $55.00 and includes:
• Ski/Snowboard and helmet rental
• Lift Pass
• Lessons
Please remember space is limited, deadline for the ski trip registration is Thursday January 19th at 12:00pm
