New bike rack installed on campus

A small addition has been made to the Ainsliewood building – a new bike rack!

Installed earlier this week, the new bike rack is now located at the front of the Ainsliewood building. The new location is conveniently situated in front of the Campus Safety Office for the safety and convenience of Columbia’s students and staff.

Over the next few weeks, new bike racks will also be installed at the Pine Hall Boys and Pine Hall Girls residences, as well as at the new Cedar campus.

Grade 11 Art Fair.preview.jpg

Grade 11 Art Fair

This afternoon, Mr. Ferreira’s Grade 11 Art Class held an Art Fair in the Ainsliewood lobby. As part of a class assignment, students wrote original stories and drew or painted corresponding illustrations using the art techniques learned in class. Students were excited to explain their stories to teachers and staff members who were asked to grade their work. All pieces are extremely well done and show off the talent of the students here at Columbia.

If you missed it, these projects and more will be on display in the Living Wall Lounge tomorrow!

JMS Band: Making Spirits Bright

JMS: Making Spirits Bright

The holiday spirit continues to grow here at Columbia. Members of the JMS band were the latest group to showcase their excitement for the holiday season. They joyfully played Jingle Bells in the Ainsliewood lobby, entertaining both students and staff who walked by.

The musical performance was a great way to the end the semester and provided a welcomed distraction from the stress of exams.

Thank you to Mr. Lawlis and the JMS band for another charming performance.
