我校頂尖成功學生Stephanie Luk是個文靜的女生,她的氣質給見到她的每一個人都留下了深刻印象。Luk僅用了短短9個月的時間便完成了她在哥倫比亞的學習,她的人生因此而改變。Luk以謙虛的態度對待自己所取得的成就。在哥倫比亞學習期間,Luk從一個對未來毫無打算的年輕女孩,蛻變成了一名有志成爲一名護士、將畢生精力用于幫助他人的年輕人。

探尋全新開始

當Luk在Rick Hansen中學就讀最後一學年時,她對自己的未來不知所措,對大學專業的選擇舉棋不定。Luk很快便失去了學習的重心,她的課業成績也因此受到影響。

當Luk的父親意識到,自己女兒的成績一路下滑,他對Luk的未來甚是擔憂。“離新學期開學只有四十天了,她無法進入大專或是大學學習。(我對自己說)我們該何去何從?我們該放棄嗎?”Luk的父親這麽說。他知道,放棄並非正確選擇,他開始爲自己的女兒探尋其他出路。就在此時,他聯系了哥倫比亞,詢問她的女兒是否能進入我校學習。他認爲,一個紀律嚴格、充滿關愛的住校環境可能是改變她女兒的未來所必須的。
